Argh. And in the end, the arguement was still pointless because
the thematic vowel (regardless of whether it is part of a thematic
stem, or is part of the suffix) is *o before a voiced segment and
*e before a voiceless one, as in the opposition of the voiced
ablative *-od and voiceless 3ps *-e-t. This was the point I was
prevented from getting across thanks to unnecessary hypercritique.
