I misunderstood in the same way as Piotr did and had written a similar
reaction, when I realized the possibility of an alternative reading
just before hitting the "Send" button.
In any case, the normal relative clause order in Hittite is not NRel,
but typical SOV RelN (Friedrich 334, e.g. "nu-za {d}UTU-_S^I_ kuin
NAM.RA _INA_ É LU.GAL uwatenun nas^ 15,500 NAM.RA e:s^ta" ("and
my-Sun-God which prisoner to the king-house I brought and-it 15,500
prisoner was" = "and the prisoners which I, my Sun-God, brought to the
palace were 15,500 prisoners").
Please explain what a subjunctive with /h1/ has to do with word order
and relative clauses.
