The *-i, as a later addition, does not count for the accent (there is
no difference in accentuation between verbal forms with primary or
secondary endings), so *h1és-t(i) ~ *h1s-ént(i) actually proves
_ultimate_ accent in these forms, as expected in a root verb.

There were several accentual types in PIE, the basic ones being
ultimate accent (root type: rect. /, obl. =/ e.g. *h1és-t, *h1s-ént
hysterodynamic type: rect. =/, obl. ==/, e.g. *p&2té:r, *p&2trés), and
penultimate accent (proterodynamic type: rect. /=, obl. =/=, e.g.
*h2ák^mo:n, *&2k^ménos).
