To speak and to ask

After the Hittite language was known, we became aware that the PIE
*do- `to give' (Alb. dha) has also the meaning of `to take', cause
they are inseparable, for the act of giving seems to implies in
itself the act of taking.
I suppose that also PIE *wekw- `to speak' has also its semantic
counterpart or equivalent in `to ask', as we may see it in Alb. verb
ves and its prefixed form dëves `to ask' (cf. dëborë `snow', besides
borë `snow'). Alb. verb could be derived from a lengthened o-grade
form *wo:kw. Another form of this verb is pyes < pu:s < po + -ues. I
doubt that in last example we have to deal with the stem of present
continues time (po ves `I am asking', cf. pështyj, pëshurr).
Furthermore, Alb. verb kuves `to speak' < *co- + ves, overshadowed
after by Latin loan kuvendoj, denominal of kuvend < conventum.
The principle of exchange is much more implied in the act of
communication then in the act of giving and receiving.
