prior to 800 AD.
2. At that time Albanian and Romanian would have been
located south of the Danube, in the highlands, among
South Slavic dialects.
3. The pre-metathetic contacts would thus have lasted
approximately 250 years (perhaps longer). Plenty of
time for the borrowing to occur. Piotr's analysis
sounds quite convincing.******
