There's an <Ardaricus ispanus> 812 in what appears to be a
Catalonian source. I've seen a suggestion that the
prototheme is related to OE <eard> 'earth, land, cultivated
ground, native place', OS <ard> 'Boden, Gut, Heimat', ON
<örð> 'harvest'.
