*novista, in fact, because the effects of the RUKI rule were blocked (or rather reversed) before a consonant in Slavic (not in Baltic, which is why I think it was a reversal: *RsC > *Rs^C > *RsC, where R = {i, u, k, r}). I've already mentioned one example in my reply to Sergei, and here are a few more:
