OK. Let us go on the path "Hermunduri" = iranic name. which is its
reflexes today in Germanic?
There seems that a "g" > "h" but not an "h" > "g". Beside of this if the
"Hermunduri" is not the english variant then this "duri" shows an Latin
end of the word. Which should be the original form of the word?
The another one "Wodan". Where is the name to find in Iranic?
What about a asimilation of "gd" in "d"? I give you the exmaple gd>d in
"Magd" > "Mädel". If one will accept a such Ideea then your Wodan can be
a Wogdan= Bogdan= supposed slavic. Looks plausible, doesn't it?

Why a Iranian loan? What speak for a Iranian source?
