mrrr. I was to in hurry. It seems the vord "invitare" was for DEX a bit
too colourfully so they put there an "*invitiare from > vitium =vice . I
understand it that " tolearn"= to become vitiate which won't be
figurative too bad:))
If this one is better for the semantic aspect, I don't know.
But for making some smiles here I should like to show that sadness, to
become sad in rom is "a supãra" supposed to come from Latin "superare"=
to win.
I guess it becomes a bit clear why I am so suspicious with these
so-called Latin etymologies.
