I'm honoured but also disturbed that you think I'm sober :)

Ah, excellent. The real point of this was to create controversy. My
plan has worked! Teehee!
Now, no, of course any typical Christian church would not consider Mary
to have impregnated herself. A Christian will usually say that she was,
to put it in a nutshell, impregnated by God. Of course, you have to
understand that Judaeo-Christianity is one believing in a _single_ god
and certainly whatever story had inspired the story of Mary (which I
deem to be largely or entirely a fictional story and a carryover of
pre-Christian, non-Judaeo-Christian mythology) cannot allow Mary to have
divine qualities such as self-impregnation. So, the story gets modified
a little to suit monotheistic needs. One therefore says that she had a
miracle "virgin" birth by the help of God. {wink, wink}
Nonetheless, I say she impregnated herself to keep true to her origins.
But if she was real, she was probably having too much sex and poor
Joseph had to cover it up with a large story about "the son of God",
yadayada.
>At least get your "facts" straight.
I know what the facts are, thanks. I grew up in a Christian home. I was
just doing a little reinterpretation. I've been good, I didn't go into
my theory on Jesus and homosexuality, did I?
>I'm not particularly religious, but I don't happen to think that religion
>per se is the devil's work (or whatever activates your hate glands).
How can religion be the devil's work if the devil doesn't exist? :) I'm
being cool. I'm just strange and misunderstood as usual.
