Gerry, isn't Austronesian part of the Austro-Asiatic (wasn't this
formerly known as Indo-Pacific?) macro-family, and thus a separate
macro-family? Or are you proposing that Nostratic and Austro-Asiatic
could have once been in one large macro-family?
