on the Web? Marcomir the Cimmerian, ancestor of the
Sicambrians, was (if I count right) 39th in descent from Adam and
49th ancestor of Charlemagne:

This and numerous similar lists on other sites, with wildly
displaced historic names, really don't look like contemporary
inventions to me. None of the sites I've checked bother with
sources, but I'd guess early Mediaeval. Anybody recognize some
mythic history of the Franks?
Since the Sicambrians turned up, has that name been discussed on
Cybalist (or elsewhere)?
