(there's also the Gothones mentioned by Tacitus, but they were probably
different, and he mentions them as Celtic-speaking).
And should Jordanes be takens with a grain of salt? He refers to the
Goths leaving their Scandinavian homeland in 1490 B.C.
Regarding the plural tribal ending -ones is this a Germanic nominative
plural case ending, equivalent to the Latin -i? If not, what would the
Germanic nominative plural case ending be?
