The particle *ge (or *g^e for the palatal impaired) simply
wouldn't come from a pronoun. It's an emphatic particle. It
marks emphasis. It would appear *e- in *ego: is the pronoun...
but it is for the third person. We've talked about *ego:
before and it appears (at least to me) to translate literally
as "my being here". It would have been adopted recently in IE
(that is to say, not long before IE split up into various
dialects). Any attempt at relating it to Austronesian in this
day and age is borderline psychotic.
