Oh yeah, the SIL material I mentioned includes a set of .wav's and
spectograms for Dutch "Katootje" (Katie) vs. "kadootje" (present).
You can _see_ that the /d/ is voiced. Also included is another .wav
with the voicing of the /d/ in /ka.'do.c&/ edited out artificially
(one could say, "kadootje" pronounced with an "English accent"). It
still sounds like a /d/ rather than a /t/, because of the clues in the
adjacent vowel formants, the duration of the closure etc.. Check it
out.
