Thank you for "under".
I begin to be more criticaly to DEX as I already am. Romanian "pod" =
bridge is given as comming from slavic "podU". Since I dont have a
slavic dictionary, I canot verify the semantism. It seems there is not
from slavic "podU" but is a word which has a cogante in Latin "podium",
german "boden" and all the romanian derivates as " pod, podish, podi,
podina" but not with Latin "pons, pontis" , where Latin has again like
in "serpentis" an "n".
See Romance equivalents for bridge , all with "n" and just Romanian with
no "n".
