Yes, the outer framework of Job is a very ancient tale, but that does not mean that the form in which we have it is ancient. Aesop's tales are over 2000 years old, but if I use one today, it is still a modern piece of writing. So all of Job is a late work, in late language, even though it uses an anicent tale as its framework. Peter
