The town was called Coeba or Ceba, and the local cheese, famous in Roman times, was called <caseum cebanus> as well.

interesting. Very intersting . And I mean here just  a part
of your explanation. Why should have had the latins called it "coebanum" instead of
"caebanum or cebanum" if this should have meant "from ceba"?
