Dear Alex,
If you really wish to treat us to more such
stuff, I'll have to prevent it. If other moderators allow you to do
your thing on different lists, that'll be fine with me, but my judgement
as the acting moderator of Cybalist is that this "Alex contra
Everybody Else" contest has been going too long here, and has dominated our
agenda in an unacceptable way.
The question of the non-Romance
substrate in Romanian is a perfectly legitimate topic to discuss
on an IE list. I, for one, have a keen interest in Romanian and other
languages of the Balkan area, past and present, and I'm very happy that George
and Marius (who are native speakers of Romanian, well-informed linguists and
completely clear-minded people at the same time) have joined the discussion and
taught us many interesting things about the language, its dialects and its
history. It's a great pity that you prefer to miss such an excellent
opportunity to learn something useful from people who have studied Romanian
_seriously_. They are generous enough to reply patiently to your endless
postings and to try to share their knowledge with you, absolutely free --
but, alas, to little avail. You don't even seem to realise the full extent of
your incompetence, and show no desire to be educated. Annoying those whose
knowledge is superior to yours may be fun from your point of view, but
I won't tolerate it any longer. Please stop the present thread or
I'll terminate it by moderating your postings.
Piotr

For an ample discution of this topic I should suggest to
move the discution on the romanian list for not disturbing too much with a very
singular aspect the persons which have no interest in this topic. If you do not
agree, be my guest, we can talk
about here on cybalist
too.
