Please go and do some research. Gk. <barbaros> was one of those adjectives in which the feminine and the masculine had the same form (vs. neuter <barbaron>). I wonder where you took this idea of Greek "mod normal" from.

I will put here even the both syllable from greek "bar-bar-oy" which denote too in mod normal a male first, even if a stranger , a non greek Maybe is too much speculation here, maybe not, I have to research about finding if there are similiarties in other old IE languages.
