AFAIK Standard Albanian for "white" is "(i)
bardhe". I am not aware of specifically horse-related terminology. This is
usually very specific in many languages. "Balan" and "balai" are Romanian
words. "Balan" is used for a white horse, "balai" is used to designate a
person's (fair) hair.Or did you come to your question starting from these
Romanian words?
Incidentally, it is generally believed
there is a connection between Romanian "barza" (stork) and "i bardhe". This is
why Rom. "barza" has been explained through the Pre-Roman
substrate.
