What was the Old [Church] Slavonic (OCS) form for 'Trnovo'? OCS
didn't have (at least in writing) syllabic liquids. The 'rU'
in 'trUnU' derives from the syllabic literal in PIE tr.nu-.

[moeller] i dont remember to be in OCS a word like trUnU too and if this
is not a mistake, it shows once again that this one is a word which the
slavs got from the local population where they settled ( thracians and
illirians).And in this case i gues the word dervies not from tr.nu- but
from *t.rn
