The inscriptions should be reconstructed as follows:

MARIA MATER DEI PATRONA HUNGARIAE SUB TUUM PRAESIDIUM CONFUGIO
Mary, God's Mother, Hungary's Patroness, I take refuge under thy
protection.

IN TUO SIGNO VINCES DEUS EXERCITUUM PELLATOR FORTISSIME ESTO MECUM
By thy sign [the Cross] thou [Christ] shalt conquer. May God, the
vanquisher of armies, be most steadfastly with me.
