I have recently seen a letter written from Germany in 1935, dated "Lenzmond" (literally "spring month" or "Lent month").  I know the Nazis renamed months (amongst other things such as human beings) so I guess it is probably March, but none of my dictionaries contain it.  Anyone know for sure?

Yes, it is. "Der Sprach-Brockhaus" for 1935 gives a list of "Deutsche Monatsnamen" alongside their modern equivalents:

Eismond/Hartung, Hornung, Lenzmond/Lenzing, Ostermond, Wonnemond, Brachmond/Brachet, Heumond/Heuert, Erntemond/Ernting, Herbstmond/Scheiding, Weinmond/Gildhart, Windermond/Nebelung, Julmond/Christmond/Heilmond.
