Excuse me George but I am afraid I cannot understand vey well why time
spending for such an idea?
I like plastic comparations and in this case I will substitute the therm
"Getae" with this of "Dacians"( theye were at all the same).
So if an ecuation like Getae=Goths cann make head aches to someone, I doubt
that an ecuation like
Dacians=Goths will do it. It is practicaly a nonsense.neverosmile.
At the time the Goths asked for asylum into Roman Empire could none, but
REALLY NO ONE to make a such confusion and to really
think the old dacians are now asking for asylum in Rome when they almost 80
years before did not wanted to leave Dacia at the Aurelian time and prefered
to
live with these from north of Dacia comming Goths.
It is an impossiblity for me to guess a such thing. I have no ideea where
from this confusion was borne and unfortunately Jordanes, Jerome, Caludianus
are all for
long time death so really I should like to go and ask them what for funny
things they wrote.
But it can be for sure too the fact that I am very tired today and I cannot
make the head and tail of this all:))
