you are admitting here. I don't have statistics at
hand. Piotr was talking about toponyms and hydronyms.
If your claim is that most such in Rumania are Slavic
(and I'm not sure this is correct), then the
conclusion is that Slavs arrived into an ethnic
vacuum. Slavs normally took over and "Slavicized"
existing place etc. names. New ones were created where
no surviving "local" was available to tell them that
"this is river X" or "place Y". And these new Slavic
place etc names were inherited by newly incoming
Rumanian-speakers because THEY had someone to tell
them "this is river X", "this is place Y". Think about
it. Perhaps you'll want to change your mind about the
nature of Rumanian hydro- and toponyms (:=)), if the
evidence is there.******
