Besides having occurred historically in Slavic, Pashto/Pakhto,
Spanish, Welsh, something similar is currently happening with Swedish
/s^/.
In modern Hindi, the sound /x/ (as occurring in Arabic and Persian
loanwords) is written <kh> [optionally with subscript dot]. It is
often pronounced /kh/ (aspirated k), just like /f/, which is written
and often pronounced the same as <ph>.
