Yes, everyone knows about Sanskrit /yakrt/ but they also know
that the /-t/ is a specific addition to that language to avoid
final vocalic /-r/. Other superfluous extensions exist like
/asr-k/ for "blood", found only in this language. That doesn't mean
we must reconstruct *-k in IE, based on ONE language!
So dare I ask... What pray tell does "leard" prove other than
a lack of understanding of IndoEuropean?
