We were not being quite serious. One should never bee too serious about freaks lest they should be dignified. The best policy so far seems to be to ignore all kinds of maniacs altogether. They are not interested in discussing anything -- they already know The Truth and will only post tiresome ready-made manifestos or spew violent abuse, depending on their particular disorder. I have found that most of Longgren's postings to Cybalist were compilations of long quotes from himself and other such scum who populate those Arryan [missspelling indented] "truthseeking" forums on delphi.com.

Anyway, they're gone and we can get back to matters Endo-Iuropean.

I'm just a lurker on this list, but I'd feel sad if you all started speaking in abbreviations, or if you avoided certain topics just because you are afraid to attract racists or other internet weirdos. This is your list, not theirs. People should be able to speak freely in here. I've been following this list daily for about a year and the risk of the wrong people finding Cybalist seems to be very small - and when they do, they reveal themselves quickly, bursting like soap bubbles, and then they are gone. Of all the discussion groups I've seen this is the one that should worry the least about attracting weirdos. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that the level of discussion in here is far above most internet forums.

Alas, keywords such as "Indo-European", "Aryan" or "Proto-Germanic" >will
occasionally attract repugnant monsters from outer cyberspace. >Perhaps we
should never mention the Caucasian languages (or use >abbreviations only),
since "Caucasian" is another powerful attractor.

You're absolutely right. Actually, mispelling [Hey! You misspelled "misspell". You did it on purpose, I'm sure :o) ]  these keywords purposely is
another strategy which I will be practicing from now on. Gee, I didn't think
any of the Natzzis knew how to operate search engines or even computers. For
those "C" languages we keep talking about, we have a choice between the
simple abbreviations NEC and NWC, or the ugly spellings seen between
Nakh-Daghestinian and Abkhazo-Adyghean. We might also want to say "Dene-C.", "Indo-A." and *X-Manus as well :)
