See my posting #5661 (Jan 27 '01) in the archive. Further to my
mention of the Proceedings of the Intl. Conf. on AN Linguistics
volumes-- a GOOD university library should have most of them; look
especially for papers by R. Blust, also David Zorc, who was doing
very good work on systematizing the "laryngeals" back in the 80s.
Also the journal "Oceanic Linguistics" (U. Hawaii); and the
Australian Natl. Univ. "Pacific Linguistics" series have a lot of
material.
Blust's book on the whole family is _still_ "scheduled for
publication", now up to May 2001 according to Amazon.com.
Sorry I'm not totally up to date; haven't been active in the field
for the past ten years or so, and it marches on at a fast pace.
