Asklepios comes from skalops "blind rat, rat, mole" - moles and rats
being connected with healing/bringing disease.

Of course, Rudra and Ganesha are both connected with rodents - thus
Rudra-Ganesha are seen as the Vedic reflex of Greek Apollo-Asklepios.
