This is also a feature of Lisbon ([liz^bo@]) Portuguese. But it's not
"paulista", if I remember correctly.

Indeed it is. Syllable final -s is only kept in parts of Mexico and
Peru (plus some other Andean regions). In Spain, aspiration of
syllable final -s is found in Andalusia, Extremadura, Murcia and
extending into Castilla-La Mancha and Madrid.
