The swastika is a universal motif (often symbolising the flaming sun, fire, etc.). Polish highlanders still use it as a common ornament or emblem. I've seen it on artifacts from Central Europe (from the early Neolithic to the Iron Age), in Celtic and Germanic art, decorative stonework in mediaeval churches, but also on Inca textiles, Chinese pottery, Pre-Columbian stone carvings from Central America, and in many other places. Early printers in Europe used the swastika (called the fylfot cross in older English) to fill blank spaces in printed lines that appeared to contain too few words.

Subject: [tied] PIE and Indus or Sarasvati Valley Civilization

The presence of the svastika symbol is emphatic in the Indus or
Sarasvati Valley Civilization (ISVC). There are over 50 inscriptions
with this symbol out of a total of about 2,500. A seal with this
symbol and other script signs of ISVC was also found at Altyn Depe.
Was there a possibility of interaction between PIE culture and this
ISVC (Vedic) culture?
