Thanks. That's interesting, linked to a goddess Vaiva. The Baltic mythology glossaries usually cited a god Diviriks linked to rainbow. I saw the site you sugest and picked many examples.
I can see rainbow is usually called "rain-bow", "sky-bow", "bow of deity X", "girdle of deity X), "rod of deity X".
It would be interesting to know Indo-Iranian terms... I will see the on-line dictionaries...

The Lithuanian 'rainbow' terms are vaivoryks^te. or Vaivos juosta (Vaiva's rod or girdle, V. being the name of the Baltic rainbow goddess). The Lithuanian and Old Prussian word for 'sky' is dangus (< 'vault' from dengti 'cover').
