The Lithuanian 'rainbow' terms are
vaivoryks^te. or Vaivos juosta (Vaiva's rod or girdle, V. being the name of the
Baltic rainbow goddess). The Lithuanian and Old Prussian word for 'sky' is
dangus (< 'vault' from dengti 'cover').
