Kronos: a composite god?

If we take a look at Kronos features we note two contraditory characters:
1) The "Reaper", the Titan who separated Sky from Earth (an Air God?), very similar to Hurrite Kumarbish, a mischievous ancient god who castrated his father and was defeated by his offspring.
2)  The "King of Golden Age", whose reign was a period of peace and abundance. Any link with the IE "Mitrian" law-giving kings, as Numa Pompilius and Yuddhis.t.hira? Or the First Man, king of dead, *Manu-?

* Kumarbish is sometimes equated with Semitic Dagon "grain, corn". May KRONOS < IE *g'r@... "grain, corn", as an addaptation of Semitic name, through some non-Greek IE language?
