Semitic is a real language family extending throughout the Middle
East. Semitish is a theoretical construction of Glen Gordon, having
no reality whatever in archaeology or culture, or being attested in
any other linguistic literature that I can find, being a supposed
bridge between Pre-IE and the languages of the Middle East. ;-)

(Glen how does that go?)
