A good question. Where indeed? Orel & Stolbova's (1995) Hamito-Semitic Etymological Dictionary (Leiden: Brill) and Ehret's (1995) Reconstructing Proto-Afrasiatic (Proto-Afrasian) (Berkeley: U of CA Press) are probably the only publications of their kind to date. AFAIK even Berber evidence is largely ignored by "AA" etymologists as there is no generally accepted Proto-Berber phonological reconstruction or a Berber etymological dictionary, which makes reconstructable Proto-HS/AA look more like some kind of Proto-Semito-Egyptian, with its centre of gravity in the Near East.PiotrDanny asked:By the way, where can I find a list of reconstructions for these three
branch-languages [Semitic + Egyptian + Berber]?
