The frequency of vibrations in breathy voice is just below that characteristic of modal voice. But pulmonic voiced stops in general tend to lower the pitch of adjacent vowels.

Piotr & others, are breathy voice consonants generally pronounced at a lower tone? Could these consonants be characterized partly by a lower tone?
