Perhaps I might be able to help you Lewis Amos.
There is the Alekseev Manuscript which is an archaeology of Eurasia from
the early paleolithic through the Bronze Age however there are three
chapters on langauge origins.
http://www.alekseevmanuscript.com

Then there is the language-origins discussion group over on egroups.com
entitled as you might expect: language-origins. That's where I
presented most of the manuscript.

Plus, the ms has been debated over on Cybalist, paleoanthropology,
palanthsci (all of them are egroups).

And Erik Sittmann has a homepage: http://www.esittmann.de
which contains the Alekseev ms, plus three other sites which might be of
interest.

Over on Cybalist the Alekseev ms is archived in the vault.

And the manuscript is a member of TIRD (the IndoEuropean Digest). Try
scouting that one out. If you can't find it, get back to me.

Hope this helps,
Gerry
