Gerry: Correct, chimp and human are different. And correct, chimps and
humans are alike. Conclusion, chimps and humans are both similar and
different. That certainly throws the established taxonomy into chaos,
doesn't it?

Gerry: I haven't heard a chimp speak much either. And I'll bet that if
they had the same human equipment, they wouldn't have the same "mental
template" implanted in their heads that allows for abstraction. It's
this template that I'm interested in. This is Chomsky's area; do you
know anything about this template? Do you have any sources besides
Chomsky?
