I'm sorry if I seem out of character for the season of Valentine's. I'm not
really attacking John's character itself. I'm just illuminating his racist
views concerning language. He was great on the "hive mentality" topic and
provided some interesting ideas there that I have incorporated. It's just
this genetic map he provides doesn't correlate at all with linguistics and
is very bluntly wrong.
I wish John would really use some linguistic data once in a while, He still
hasn't, to my chagrin, so what am I to think of a linguistic theory based on
genetics alone? Nobody seems concerned with this. Everyone is trying to
justify to me the study of genetics by itself (it is of course justified)
but nobody seems to understand the complete lack of connection it has with
linguistics nor is anyone so far justifying how this supposed "correlation"
is logical.
And as long as you speak a language, you're never a beginner in linguistics.
