slavic: rod
greek: orthos
baltic: rasme ( which one from "baltic"?)
sanskrit: vardhati
iranian: vare:d

Piotr, I guess the "i" in latin is not original but it is an "e" . What
do you thing about?
Examples are more there. The OL /en/ >/in, /peer/>/pir/ and so on.
