As to the d/g suffix alternation:
Old Norse brjota vs English break etc

I wonder if it's possible with the -g and -d suffixes to identify a
second Caland-type system within IE and AA?

I think I will look over the roots I have, whether they accept -g
and -d suffixes.

Question: in the real Caland system, are the suffixes and roots
definitely relatable to the rest of IE or definitely not, or is that
unprovable? In other words, might they be borrowed from somewhere
else?
