Enki has earth and water elements, and his link to Poseidon is plausible.
There's a also the correspondence between Ugaritic brothers Ba'al-Yam-Moth
and Zeus-Poseidon-Hades, although the devilish traits of Yam and Moth were
transferred to Typhon.
Enki/Ea as a God of Wisdom was adopted by the Hittites and Eash, and perhaps
he was one of the sources of Prometheus. cf. the quarrelling between
Zeus/Prometheus and Enlil/Ea (men-opressing Storm-God and man-protecting
Wisdom-God).
