That certainly doesn't apply to some of the yahoo groups I receive, such as ANE-2 List.

One spam detection technique is to assume that anything that consists
of more quotation than new content is spam. Peter Daniels' reply fell
foul of that rule. I've seen several such posts tagged as probable
spam. It's part of Yahoo's anti-spam 'enhancements' .
