Well, I don't know what that means, but when I signed up for Verizon DSL last spring, I could choose between Verizon Yahoo and MSIE or OE (whichever is the relevant one). What they didn't tell me was that Verizon Yahoo doesn't support newsgroups, so I have to use google groups ...

(anyway, not relevant to qalam)

When they told you "you can use Outlook or the Web interface and that's
it," I'll bet what they meant was "the minimum wage kids on telephone
support can read you directions for setting up Outlook but we haven't
bothered to get them a script for Eudora or Mozilla, because after all
what kind of a freak uses anything other than Microsoft?".
