If the Vai script is added to the Universal Character Set, enabling
texts encoded in Vai to be exchanged electronically, and software to be
localized into Vai, and computer-using Vais to begin entering and
exchanging Vai text...

... and this ends up actually benefiting "few to none of the Vai
people..."

... then whom does it hurt?
