Really excellent idea. However, and unfortunately, at the present stage of
development (afaik!) such feedback needs some software; IMEs provide that
sort of thing. Somewhat hesitantly, I'd say that a collaboration between
Michael and an IME expert (from the Open Source community?) might do Very
Good Things.

Seems to me that Michael knows the char.set and keyboards, at least,
things the IME developer doesn't.
