This is the trend now with all syllabic scripts. Most Indic editors
are of the "Type English see whatever..." variety. Earlier this year
I posted a link to a Tamil application that said "input in plain
English". This is great for all those who are literate in English
first and want to use their first spoken language as an expression of
identity.
I'm not sure how long it will take me to work through your
instructions but I will do it, one way or another. I really
appreciate this - it seems very accessible.
